You left off the bit about running the car in 1st gear to make the wheel spin so all you have to do is hold the file/sandpaper.

Make sure the car is stable and the rear wheels are chocked so it can't move anywhere.

Oh yes. My mistake. Preferably don't do it with the mk1 (if it is anything like my one, it'll overheat in no time). When I did my wheels, I used my girlfriend's Suzuki Swift to mount up the wheels (looked tough as). Barely used any fuel and the fan kicked on briefly every 20 minutes or so.

Additionally, since your car has open headers that end right under the drivers seat, it won't be too kind on your ears after quite some time knelt beside it. Just a thought.

    Good luck with it all

part 2, tried the paint stripper, 3 coats and this is what it got me. Barely hit the base.

going to get them stripped tomorrow

light wire wheel on the drill got me quite far on the lips, light enough to be able to sand everything out but it also helps with the curb rash a fair bit.

thought i had an after pic but it turns out i dont. pity, ill get one tomorrow

Waiting on a boss to come in the mail and then my momo goes on, still trying to find rails and now im looking for a front right fender aswell, dont want to paint over the girls drawings as i said before.

took the centres to the sandblasters today so will have them ready tomorrow is what he said. Working all day so going to get the trusty mum to pick them up for me. $100 for all 4 isnt too bad a deal i dont think.

going to take the car in for an exhaust build next week when i get paid, 2"system straight through like you guys said would be best.
