im not keeping it im just waiting till im not too lazy to do a proper job of it
and can someone tell me what melburg luft is, a sign came with the car of it
and i got those parts mounted, and i mated the housing and water pump together so thats cool
and this is the sign thing
But no really, I like to look distinguished when I step out of the car. People are like, "wonder what he does for living."
I just reply, "your daughter, sir." - some dude on stanceworks
I had fixed half the broken crap but that just meant it was still halfway inoperable

If it fits use it. Bigger carb makes a difference, add extractors and the performance is pretty good. Won't be a rocket but noticeably better than standard.
GTI brakes will make it stop much better and a rear sway bar + lower front brace + decent tyres will make you smile through corners. Doesn't take much to turn it into a real fun car to drive.
i plan on getting a new carb down the track, my goal so far is to make it hit 100bhp (long shot)
omp do a upper and lower front brace + rear upper brace for $350 so when i have enough money ill grab that, new wheels and tyres will happen oneday but once again its all down to money.
brand new radiator came in today, got it fitted and hoping to have most of everything done aswell today

Upper and lower front brace - home made - $20 for both. Real easy to do and makes a big difference to the handling. Let me know when you are ready to fit and I'll help you make them.
Rear swaybar - less than $60 and a few hours welding the brackets onto the Golf. Biggest cost is getting a thick front bar off a Jap car that fits the Golf from the wreckers. On mine I used a bar from a Mazda Capella on one and a Sigma on another MK1 (it was a long, long time ago). Front bar isn't needed.
Cheers
