Nice buy! Does it start/drive? And what's your intentions on this mk1?
It did start and drive, but my brother had to drive it up from Melbourne and burnt out a valve, so engine rebuild is on the way :)
Plans are too paint it, slam it on some coils, and stick some nice wheels etc on it :) hit some shows up and all that :)
Can anybody enlighten me on the front panels? I've removed the bolts from the left panel, and the front is swinging but the back section won't budge. The right panel is also wierd, there's a really wierd device thingo blocking the top bolt that I need to get to, any advice?
That's a shame!!
Hope to see some picks as you progress :)
About the front panels to start off I'd take the front wheels off which will make it easier to work and then look inside the back of the guard where it wont budge and you would see a few bolts (3 bolts from memory) they might be covered in sealant if I'm not wrong, which will be a challange to see!
Give that ago!
Not much progress, however I've gotten that wierd spoiler thingo off, and I gave it a good clean, boot still won't open and I still can't get the panels off, fml
so ive decided to revive this thread :-)
Quite a bit has happened to the car since i got it, fresh paint (done by me, first ever respray), me and my dad tried to recover the dash as seen below, and basically all of the major parts of the build. i also have no clue if the pictures will work

What head gasket are you running?
Back in the 80's we had heaps of problems with head gaskets on my mate's bored out 1.6 because of the reduced surface area around the cylinders.
exhaust manifold from racelandus came, $250 shipped so it was a bit of a bargain.

my brother just bought this 10 year old super bike, for how old it is its insane. does 200km/h to 300km/h in something 6 seconds. :O
It's not 200 to 300 that impresses me, it's 300 to 0. :Biker:
