We're booking at the last minute with Wotif, so not sure yet. Somewhere pretty decent as secure parking is obviously important!!

Happy to take a few people for a drive

lol - I know! It would be quicker with 200hp below 100kmh I reckon, but that's no fun

Yours is the absolute limit I think (without slicks at least) in a Mk1, but I'm curious about what mine will be like... especially seeing yours hauls some serious ass and lights up the tyres already

So here is the engine all done apart from the radiator and overflow bottle, which I'm still waiting on. It's very loud and makes all the right woosh and kerpowww noises [LOL]

Took these on Friday, so the weekends progress is missing (only finished the fuel lines prior to starting it, so it hardly looks different now anyway):

Finished all the oil lines - the drain line is something I'm most happy with, but I couldn't be bothered putting the car on the hoist, so I'll show that off later:

These are the new alloy hard lines from Earls - very nice things and bend to 90deg perfectly. With an olive and a very small flaring, the ends are converted to dash fittings neatly:

    Turbosmart bits everywhere:

Should have it on the road this week []

It will deliver some serious fun alright

    Looks stunning

Glad it’s not just me who will be driving around Tranmere like a toss with a bit of woosh woosh action The look you get when people turn to see what the noise is coming from is a classic.......almost embarrassing Come and get me when it's done and we'll scare the neighbourhood

Can't say I'm a huge fan of all the ricey noises, but it's kinda cool coming from an old Golf, I s'pose!!
