Brakes found on ebay, Opinions?

man you can a buy brand new set of vented discs and pads (ATE original parts) from a place called HSY for like $160 and then even find some cabrio or mk2 gti callipers which im pretty sure fit or order them from camden gti for not much all up. i think if you spend a little more in the beginning not only will you have a whole new setup but it will prevent problems in the future, get better braking and will last you longer . . . just my thoughts as i just did this. cheers.

Yeah this sounds good, I just had no idea where to look and other threads that asked that sort of info seemed to get minimal responses. Ill look into these sites you mentioned. If its not too much to ask some links would be great!

I actually found that link before when I was trying to find out good brake upgrades, It has heaps of good info in it no doubt, but I dont seem to remember It mentioning where these parts can actually be purchased. I mean the GTi parts, not the rear brake upgrades from wreckers and so on.. Ill have another look tomorrow when I'm more awake =]

hsy autoparts - you can try giving these guys a call tomorrow. you will have to refer to the cabrio front discs/callipers/pads etc not just stock MK1. they are very efficient and reasonably priced for completely new and genuine parts. good luck with it all, im no expert myself but just did this recently.
