Best radio for a stock MK1

So the one thing I don't want to do is put nightclub neon in the car if I add a head unit that is not appropriate.

I think CD/RADIO/AUX and some sort of retro style so it looks appropriate.

    Anyone have suggestions?

A touch () pricey, but i think would look damn good in a Mk1.

Could always use the old trick of putting a decent CD player in the glove box and leaving the stock radio in the dash.

Going to keep researching this as I would be interested in a decent period-ish looking radio too.

MK3 stock headunit (tape and aux in) with the optional cd stacker in the boot. Wouldnt be hard to find one around cheap and its sticking OEM (kinda) still

That CD stacker is actually a 10 CD stacker as well! Really dated but also cool in a kindof tacky 90's way...

    That's the go.

I've got a retro panasonic which was in my mk1 at one stage, but the bugger kept rattling internally on me & drove me nut's.

btw, i'd just put a blank face in the radio slot. Who'd care about CD/Radio when driving a Mk1, I only enjoy its engine noise
