    Bah.

Anyone else done this. Went to slam my door earlier, after a shocking morning at work, only to have the handle come off in my hand......nice.

Phoned SIX local junkyards, who apparnently " haven't even seen a mk1 golf for years "

So now im going to have to run the possibly expensive gauntlet of the " VW specialists "

    bad day.

There's always plenty of chinese and second hand handles on ebay. Try AUDI wreckers a lot of those used the same handles. If you get real desperate there's 3 sitting on my coffee table! (Might ake a while to reach you though, post is slow this time of year.) You can swap the passenger side one to the drivers side in the short term, you'll just need to swap a few of the internals around. It's pretty obvious when you hold them side by side.

    Happy hunting!

Even so..... Audi, Porsche 924, Late aircooled beetle, type3 etc INTERIOR handles look mighty similar! Beetle ones are even chrome!
