That's a very good question dude. I may get the air ride and the motor engineered. Will be speaking to an engineer soon to see what the pre requisites are and take it from there.
Register it as a street rod? How do all the crazy hot rods get away with it.... Very curious actually.

It's a popular engine option in classic minis so it makes sense in a mk1.
Although I think you're having a laugh with the power and torque comment, it's all relative and it would be fun in a lighter shell.
There's something along these lines (but a bit more extreme) happening on speed hunters at the moment.
