Hi im after a German Flag badge, that i would like to put on the side on my Golf 1. I want to put it on the side of the front guards because there were originaly some ugly indicators there and i took them off but now i just have a hole left, any suggestions?

refurbed the badges and very happy with the results!!!!
Spoke to my mate thats a spray painter and told me the best method would be to mask the badges and cut around the masking with a knife took a few hours but it worked and very happy with the results!

Ok so as i said the large Golf badge was very easy to refurb all i did was get masking tape mask the whole badge and used a blade to cut around it.
Once fully masked used silver spray paint and painted lightly so that the paint would not blob.
here is a pic of the end result:
Now with the Volkswagen badge this was a totally differnt process as the letters are too small and thin to cut around with a blade so what i did was buy a Silver paint pen that had a 1.2mm tip and did each letter using horizontal stripes.
And this is the end product:
So no need to buy new badges all it takes is a total of 1 hours work and silver spray paint and a paint pen.

The paint pen looks the go. Well done! (Didn't gtimk5 recommend this?)
Yeah he did!Originally Posted by brackie
Althought im not too sure of using the pen on the Golf badge as the font is thick and not too sure how good it would look to colour in with a pen.
The spray paint looks factory.
But for the Volkswagen the pens the go!
