Don't get too excited, there's a lot of rust out there. The best 2 door shell there had a rusty sill on the drivers side but apart from that looked good.

I'd love to go back out there for a squiz again, esp now that I have a Mk1. Last time I was there (also 2005) I was fitting an exhaust to my MINI (since sold).

Nick says he's still got over 70 MK1 Golfs and that's after he sold a few to the Poms. Last shipment they didn't like because they found a few redbacks which scared the crap out of them.
