    wouldnt advise it...but....ummmmmm.
my mk1 has cut king springs. problems are it stuffs up your spring rate and your springs wont remain captive...(unless u drill a few hols around the top and base and cable tie the springs in place...looks good lifting a wheel for 3 wheel motion coming out of bottle shops) dodgeyyy!!!

ive generaly found take more out of the back than the front if you want it to sit level. 2and a half rear, 1 and a half front for kings is how mine sits....

i wouldn't suggest going any more...bumpstops will bounce u off the road mid corner =(

The bit that shocked me (no offence geezer) is the tyre size. Now respect in that original VW engineers put wait for it................................................ 225 width tyres on a prototype mk1 GTI but I'd ask did you really need that MUCH tyre on the road?

well.. im doing it today after work...

i think im gonna cut 1 and a half rear and 1 and 3/4 front

reason so low is because im compensating for my new low profile tyres on my 14's this week.. i dont want any guard/tyre gap too big

    will take pictures

ive worked it out.. the front is gonna be dropped 40mm and the back is gonna be dropped 45mm... witch will make the car straight and low..

    Talking

gota watch springs don't fall out
on big bumps with standard length shocks
    so don't go to hard
and yes there is no such thing as a too wide tyre
was looking at getting 225's mmmm!

I know of a VLT that had the spring come out of the back at 120kmh.

If u stack it, its guna be your fault even if it isnt (if that makes scence)

ok fellas the time has come....

dropped 80mm off front and back

lowest point of the car is 55mm off the ground, and yes it is slightly bumpier.. but no biggie.. handles awesome though due to having lowerd shocks and springs beforehand
doesnt rub anywhere doesnt scrape over speedhumps!!!

now i need some 40mm spacers all round to pump the wheels out and then polish the rims

    what you all think?
