    another swallowtail proj...

its been simmering for a year or so. both my painter and mech crew moved sheds in last few months so i have been able to get cracking now settled. thanks heaps to showdown customs and kaizen garage for the garage space and help..

finished the core bodywork sixmonths ago so i best put some progress up!

swallowtail, seventy something (cant find the plates atm!!) it was previously painted in some white house paint!! 100 6" discs of 60 grit later..

have to finish rubbing back the bay tonight (2pac primer), hopefully for paint tommorow..
general engine bay de-clutter also deleted the euro wiper mud puddles.

my painters car- 'roller levin 20v, candy paint is sweet at night and the scissor doors are pretty funny..

dropped by the loons when i was down south and picked up one of these..should help stop the KR. 'speedy frabricator' bretts idea for a better join.

tonights puzzle. join to gsxr 750 itbs they go from 50 to 42mm

    best go do it..

    Great project!
Can I put a big vote in for sandblasting? My shell would have been a nightmare to do by hand, cost me $1200 for a complete strip of the entire body (inside and out) included a coat of etch primer.

    progress

tonights progress. finished dry 240 on outside, ready for 800 wet tommorow. cleaned up the boot area. it was noted tonight that the paint shop appears to be bogan hq, considering there is a hr, lj, vk, vt, -all v8s, gen 3 has a vortex blower which makes me want a supercharger!), and 2 old falcons i would have to agree haha

loon, used angle gringer to mill down the rod so it would fit in thread, tacked it then filled the end in. strong! i lost the for piece in the workshop and spent 2 hours looking for it! ended up getting another one from home hahah
the mag is yours, not enough mk1 for me any tips for timing belt change on kr? i have a new one i wish to fit pronto.

shady outdoor home setup..just cleaned because my roommates mum is over frome ireland ha, was a good kick in the arse to get things organised again

colour is the new mini 'pepper white' paint is schuberts 2k colour then clear over the top. didnt want to have to buff solid colour!

Nice work on the booster. Looks very strong.
Home workshop looks sweet, at least you have the big amp for choons!
Timing belt is same as 8v, just make sure the dots are lined up. You only have one wheel at the top, even though its dohc.
Van is fixed hunky dory. Can even change gear!

Is that near Ipswitch? DOHCDave is a mad keen golfer up there. Why not arrange a QLD meet?
