    Air ride?

I was thinking about putin some air ride in my Golf and sit it on some 13" with 175/50.

What are the pros and cons?
Does the air ride replace suspention?
Do I need a profecional to fit it in?
How does it affect the cars handleing?

they are expensive....my cousin wanted them for his mk1 gti 2.0 16v. we found out that the handling is suppossed to be pants and for a mk1 you dont want that. as a gimic and for a laugh its cool, but for serious road handling you want coilovers. he went for some FK coilovers and you wont believe the difference....

also you need a compressor in the boot which takes up alot of space...

LOL yeah i have there buisiness card in the picture part of my wallet.

One of the resons i wanted it is because its legal. I know that you can have your car as low as you want if you have air ride, otherwise you cant.

Not realy to interested in serious handling because its not a GTi and its doesnt have a 2.0 16v. The compressor isnt that big anyway, i scoped out some air ride cars at Autosalon last weekend, it should all fit nicly and if i can get the tank custom made to fit in to the spare wheel tub then i can also fit in a good system later on.

    Cheers everyone.

making a custom compressor tank could cost BIG bucks first u have to get someone to weld it... then compression test it.. and that could cost 3-400$$ on its own... but see how u go... if u go in cali customs tell luis u know dom wabit he should help you out if u wanna go further with air ride..
