    Air con mk1

    Hi Guys,
i am bringing my mk1 caddies to australia they are basically the same as Mk1 golfs & am going to need them converting to air con, is there plenty of people that do this?
    is there aftermarket kits available?
    thanks in advance

Plenty can do it - it just comes down to cost - not sure about DIY kits...

I have never been in a Mk1, or 2 come to that with effective air con.

Anything aftermarket will waft a tiny breath of cool air at you and sap power from your motor.

Get a Mk3 or 4 as a daily and drive the others on cooler days.

what about little compressors and pumps out of cars like Nissan Micras? You'd have to be good at DIY though....
