    Updates:

Hit the wreckers and got a volvo coil that has the 16v style plug. Bracket mod as its larger.

Neat H3 plugs from an old mazda.

    Toyota air temp sens

Mounted the 1.8t rail onto the mani and finished ALL the wiring.

Water temp sens fitted and throttle cable.

US Speedflow in -8, volvo sandwich plate with 90deg thermostat, china made cooler. Still to mount this as you can see. (I want more speedflow!)

Just fits. Used 150mm trumpets, Puts the throttle plates a little outside the midpoint. Will have to block this grill off.

And the front cards, mini winders for 6.5' speakers.

Only part needed now is a keyway(wtb) for the distributor. Then the computer can be switched on, finally.

Glad to have finally got the money/inspiration to finish this. Pretty much forgotten what its like to drive one of these things!

Alex: Yes, put it in the trumpet for cyl 1. Now I have to merge the ends like yours, might even get them tigged up if I'm feeling fancy.

And as for the full pics..well, I'm not slamming it till after rego for obvious reasons, so whats the point!

When it drives somewhere other than my garage I will take one for you Jarred..actually, why not a movie, the sound should be pleasing.

    Oh snap.

After a million steps backwards and forwards, my car runs. All the pedals do their thing and it manages to idle with only extractors.

    So psyched.

notice the budget catch-can made from an alloy drink bottle..

A bad shot of the megatune interface.

I cant believe how lucky i was to get it running so easily. I just calibrated the toyota air temp sensor and worked out the req_fuel and pressed the start button! I will get the exhaust joined tomorrow so i can take it to the street and do some proper tuning. Big thanks to Matt at http://www.orchideuro.com/ for sending me all the megasquirt stuff.

Looks like i might make it to the nats after all..
