Aaaaarggghhh!!

I just got to work this morning at 8:30, and as i was walking away from my car... i heard a cracking noicse and turned around and my car was leaning to one side... turns out my front left spring has cracked clean in half on one side!!!.. i cant believe it!!

the scary thing is i just got back from a weekend in sydney, and i drove there and back along the freeway just last night!! im just thanking god that it didnt snap when i was doin 120 down mooney mooney bridge!!!

i had heard a clicking noise in the front left previously.. and so i had pulled off my wheel and had a look... but couldn't see anything... so i just assumed it was something wierd..

btw.. these are lowered kmac springs i think... and have not been cut.. so i have no freakin idea why they snapped!

anyways.. so now im at work and its pissing down rain and i have no way of getting home.!!!

How long have you had them? I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer as this is dangerous and they need to sort you out with a replacement 'pair' for the front.

I'm also glad it did not happen a mooney mooney!

Replaced my springs on saturday with some King springs i had sitting round.

Everything was going well with the coil changeover taking only about 30min (with 2 of us working).. until...

i tried to start to car to go for a test drive to find an awful banging noise to accompany the engine turning over....

turns out my back engine mount (drivers side/beneath the cam pulley), had completely shat itself, casuing the whole engine to twist to one side and forwards... which means everything is banging on everything else...

oh well, i shoud get round to fixing it this week...

is there a sneaky way to change this engine mount which doesnt involve removing the whole engine?

Hi Mollins. You dont have to remove the motor to replace the mount. Remove the cam cover and belt. Undo the allen bolts on the block with a bit of a fiddle and remove the bracket. Bugger of a job but it is acheivable!
