It wasn't that long ago you were asking newby questions and now you're firing up your own turbo conversion that you wired yourself.

    That's seriously good work.

    Well done.

    Hey guys,

So today I wired up a bunch of relays for ecu and sensors. Relayed the earth trigger wire for the fuel pump too, as well as wiring up the obd port. Feels like great progress. I'm having a few issues however. I can't seam to find any wiring diagrams for the 2 black wires coming out of the alternator. Not sure where they go. Also having issues wiring up 02 sensor and maf sensor too. Anyone can help out? Or should I ask mk4 section?

And finally having issues with plumbing up the n75 valve. Because I'm running after market intake pipes, it doesn't have the provision for the n75 valve, and I have no idea what to do, or where any of it goes. Any suggestions fellas?

So I've been quiet on here for the past few days, but I have been in the garage for the last week non stop, from finishing work all the way till 11 and back to work at 5am. Stu came past and helped me wire up the O2 and the maf sensor. I've then fitted the n75, fan wiring, and a ton of things that's not worth a mention. It really is all the small things thst take up all of my time...

Changed the oil and oil filter and had everything put aside and installed a driver seat. Still only 95% complete, so I thought I'll take it for a drive. Went around the block was the happiest bloke in the neighbourhood. Gears are smooth, clutch goes in good (using 210mm) and the motor runs fine! Turbo spools and the flutter sounds amazing.... Yes I know it's bad to flutter.
Although I'm having issues as it dies on idle sometimes. It could be thst half of my vac lines arnt finished.

Checked all my electricals, and everything works. And I mean everything! First golf I've ever owned with fully working electricals, so I'm quite proud of that. There's so much more to do, and from this morning it's back to the re assembly of the car since I know everything works now. So much cool bits for me to show, so stay tuned in the next few days

Ps. I've hooked up the obd port, can anyone please recommend me to someone in Melbourne thst can plug it up and just check fr any fault codes? Pretty please

Everything ready just in time for halfway hangs hey? top work man! looks awesome
But no really, I like to look distinguished when I step out of the car. People are like, "wonder what he does for living."
I just reply, "your daughter, sir." - some dude on stanceworks

I had fixed half the broken crap but that just meant it was still halfway inoperable

Almost have the interior complete, what a mission. Had issues with bonnet clearance due to strut top extenders, but sorted it out eventually.

Wired up all my gauges too. Think it looks pretty neat.

Saturdays mission include, changing thermo switch, new wiper blades, adjusting coils, changing wheels for wheel alignment, putting on roof and everything else.

With the thermo, basically power goes to one spade terminal, and the other goes to the relay as a switch source? In other words completing the circuit when the thermo kicks in? Or is it a negative circuit guys?

I've always wired my relays +ve with a fuse in the circuit. That way if anything shorts out it's the $1 fuse (theoretically) that blows, not the relay or thing you're powering. The added advantage is if you ever need to use that relay for something else it's already powered.

Keep up the good work George, really impressive.

This is going to be seriously quick so try to drive slow on the way up to Coffs Harbour. It will be hard and you'd better budget for a speeding fine or two.
