sup monga..
did some digging.. some people just protect it with tech wax or if you really want this is a clear designed for metal.. Might dull the finish a tiny bit though..

Any updates? Please
so a bit of an update here, nothing too exciting! i have polished 3 of the 4 lips and finished restoring the centres (sanded, primed, painted and cleared). i have also organised the bolts so just need to finished off the final lip and then sort out tyres.
waiting for my girlfriend's old man to set up his milling machine so i can get rid of the gutter rush as well, it isn't major but i may as well.
(the the rim in the bottom right hand corner has not been polished yet)
also, did some digging around to try and find torque setting for these wheels, couldn't really find anything so i thought i'd go with 18 foot pounds which is about average for a 2-piece bbs wheel? any thoughts on this? also, for future reference, where is a good place to source the wheel bolts (the bolts which bolt the centre to the lip) cheers.

hey guys, not much progress here, just got back from europe. no rush in finishing the wheels, however i want to have them done by GAF in September.
can anybody tell me where i can source a new brake booster hose? the hose seemed to have perished in my time away which means i can't drive it at the moment! - sucks.
any help appreciated.

The one from the booster you can buy vac line or get a silicon one from mk1 autohaus.
Post a pic of which shape it is as I might have one here.

As long as you can connect the one-way valve in between, any vacuum hose will do, mate. Just go to Auto1 or similar and ask for something about the same shape. They'll have something you can use, even if you need to trim it for length etc.

There's a neater way.
Some brands of cars have the one way valve in the barbed fitting into the booster itself.
I found a few just wandering around the wreckers.
Once you've changed that over you can use a straight piece of vacuum hose to your manifold.
Bit hard to see here but it's the round white thin on the booster.
