Finally found these mk1 gti vented discs!

The mk1 has also gone for another paint job! Since the first makeover was an abortion!
Lets hope this time it will appear better!

    good progress Steve.
I'm just wondering where you got those vented disks from?
If I was to do a brake upgrade would I need to get different callipers as well and if so what to get? I really have no idea

ive basically got a mk1 gti setup (vented disc and bigger callipers), you would also need to purchase mk1 gti callipers because the gti discs are thicker and therefore the original callipers wouldn't fit around the disc to bolt on.
your brake booster can stay where it is, doesnt need any modification (bigger master cylinder, booster) unless your thinking about the rear disc conversion.... thats when your master cylinder and booster need to be changed. hopefully theres someone on here to correct me if im wrong!

there's a guy on this forum who has done a few different mk1 disc conversions and brake booster upgrade which is really helpful if you read through and get a few ideas, i would of linked the thread but i cant find it....

For everything you need to know about brake upgrades/repairs/etc check out Pete Jones threads (multiple threads) on brake upgrades.

    Brakes! - Another holiday job.

How to mod a late booster for MK1.

Upgraded booster and MC, GTi discs/calipers and refreshed rear brakes with new hoses and you'll be laughing. more than enough to make people fly out of thier seats and into the windscreen.

    Stock brakes are ok.

40 year old stock brakes, aren't.
