    I put in the whole 2.5L penrite 75W-90 pro gear for all differentials, transaxles & manual gearbox fluid. Would it matter how much fluid it should consume?

    Check the specs to see how much oil should be in there. Overfilling it isn't the end of the world but can cause problems.

    Too much oil can create high pressure between the gears and might be the cause of your problems.

    Was it OK before you added the oil?
