LOL i do agree with that! one more annoying thing is it gets quite boring as you cant really hear the music, even though i have a sub it is next to unhearable and annoys the life out of me. I will probably finish with my 5th gear this weekend or next, if you're not in a hurry, i can tell you how the extra gear feels?
Anyway, one more time, GO 5 SPEED

i listen to talkback radio or classic fm when i drive, i don't really have a big stereo or anything,
Its not that the 8v is not a nice sounding motor, i like the sound the make when driving, but 4k flat for any long period is just silly...

if you can afford it, do it, ill even mail you $7.50 lol, i want to do the same eventually.

years ago, I did 2 months of Newcastle-Sydney commuting with a stock petrol 4-speed (the diesel one is longer).... Cruising at about 4200rpm to keep up with the traffic

I can assure you, the 1.6 loves to rev.... but lets put it this way - the wits of the driver will fall apart waaaaay before the car.... unless you get some earplugs

If you are going to put big power through it, get a diesel 4 speed. If you want comfortable highway cruising, get a 5 speed out of a seat cordoba. I got mine for $125 from center road wreckers in springvale
