Worn crank/big end bearings.... when you put your foot on the clutch you are putting some thrust on the crank and it might be helping to re-pressurise the bearings.
Has the engine been run without oil before?
so the old girl decided to throw a random one at me today. The bar Gauge has been running at full from when i finished putting her back together from the first turn on the key in the ignition but car works fine figured it must just be a random fault. But anyway today the bar gauge stated flicking and then when i put the clutch pedal in goes back to full again a video attached!!! Anyone got any ideas??????

All good now had the variable resistance sender wired up wrong!!!! What a twat!!!! Cheers anyways
The fact that pushing the clutch pedal down was changing the guage readings may suggest cleaning and tightening the engine earthing points Ewen, the clutch cable was changing the earthing resistance values...
Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...
If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

From What i could see i had the 2 correct wires laying on the clutch linkage and applying the clutch was earthing it mayb! Not sure tho! I ordered then caps and wires that i was missing from the spot lights should be here late next week!
Just when you think your finished with the major work you let the misses use the car and she blows the head gasket!!!!! ****ing comes in threes cant wait for the next 2
Pressure test done all ok no cracks and re skimmed! And the waiting on parts begins all over again!!!
So well its been awhile since i been on here but really would lole abit of help in finding a garage to do a proper tune and mayb dyno test to get my old girl running the way she should be! If anyone knows of a place please can u hot me up with info? Cheers
