Oh no no, I mean the black clocks surround, like, speedo surround instead of silver, its the GTI one with higher speedo and so on. The dash you have is missing the GTI clocks

I have only ever seen one golf in Oz with the hard plastic dash and that was in a 1.3 African model which went to NSW eventually and was written off. I dare say that the dash in Specs car is the same one too.
It doesnt feature a glovebox lid too, never has and will be difficult to change.

Hey buddy, nah, the hard plastic ones only ever came in imports, very early golf 1s and all series one GTI's (together with tarten seats).

Hey Andrew, the one Spec has is hard plastic too (Is the one that Alex sold that we wanted), golf loon has a hard plastic one in the GTI and also the one in the 79 GTI I was going to buy so they are out there... kind of.... Think I have found one in the UK though so we will see how that pans out eh?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'hard plastic'. My MK1 GTI has this sort of dash - is that what you're talking about?

Hey cam, yeah that's wat andrew was saying
def buy one, it looks the best!

Michael B - it's similar except it's identical to the standard mk1 dash (expect a little wider)

    looks like this

    just to clear things up

    That be the one mate!

Sorry Andrew, got a bit confused!

Getting some Toyo 165x50x15s mounted on the Riken wheels today! Thing is, they will be going on the Jazz for a while as the Golf needs to be slammed and will be off the road for a few months when we get to Queensland.
