    16v times ....

Just out of interest what sort of times would a stock kr 16v mk1 pull ?? in a 0 - 100 klm/h , because i think mine is way off par than what it should be , as a mk2 16v are around 7.7 !! so i would think it would be a little less in a mk1

Proper FWD standing starts are a quite difficult. It'll be your technique that's giving bad results, not necessarily any engine problems. If you sit as a passenger in a car performing proper acceleration tests, you'll be quite surprised by how brutal (and skilled) they are.

You need to minimise the wheelspin, which is what most people don't do. "Stalling" the car up against the handbrake is also a good way to get off the line quicker.

And it is even harder to say in a MK1 as every MK1 16v conversion is a different Frankenstein - so almost impossible to compare.

(I'd hope it was faster than 10's)

dont want to state the obvious... get the stopwatch out!!
try it a few times, and get an average

if your mate is 150kg, 10s seems pretty reasonable

Its exactly as mikinoz said every 16v mk1 is different no 2 will be alike, getting a fwd off the line is hard enough when i took mine down the 1/4mile my first pass was a 16! LOL then a dozen passes later came down to a 14.4 and i left it at that, I was running a locker diff at the time i got over it and brought a LSD now
