Hm, well stuffed if I know. 148/148/150/148psi comp., so no biggie there. I got it going well again, played with the screws that i can't differentiate between (idle and fuel/air mixture right?) then drove it. Did a hand-brakie.
I'll shout the car new plugs when i can afford it.

Rewired the fan; it works which is great. We'll see how the car goes when the weather warms up. Once I've got the cash and feel confident enough, I'll replace the timing belt, water pump, thermostat. Or maybe I'll get a windscreen and bloody register it already.

    I know, right!
I reckon once it's actually rego-ed i'll be too lazy to fix stuff.

Once the weather warms up who knows what'll happen!

I was busy today. Temporary rust fix.

The windscreen came out easy as, bare hands.
Horrible ****. (excuse the cracks in the dash )

Wire-brush (by hand) first, then this is after wire-wheel on the grinder and i think a P150 flapper-wheel on the drill.

    This bit ****ing sucks!

Bit hard to see, but this is after 3M rust converter. (which i applied liberally as **** to the more flaky areas)

I'll try and get motivated after work through the week and prime it, then get a new screen put in (paint later).

I don't have access to a welder, obviously that would be preferable! This is just a temporary deal. Most of is seems pretty solid, except for right in front of the driver there.

There a few things around the body that need welding up, so when I get around to them I'll pull the screen and fix the windscreen surround too.

Nice work, I love a good rust kill-off. Doesn't look like it was too bad either!

    Thanks!
Yeah, went okay. Except for the numerous times I slipped with the flapper wheel!

All arvo it looked like it was going to piss down. I came home from work and risked it.

Consequently it's primed and unmasked. Cleaned the crap off/out of the two seals I've got too.

I'll smooth the primer out tomorrow night (it's primer-surfacer), and get the new chrome trim into the seal. Also going to get the windscreen guys to order in the screen for me.

All goes well, this will be in for a (totally legitimate...) roady on monday, possibly even friday!

I work 20m from VicRoads right now, conveniently enough...
