    1.8 or 2.0 abf/kr/9a 16v in mk1

    As the title suggests i've got a quick question, what would be the cheapest option for a 16v engine to put into an mk1? I found an mk2 16v with gearbox wiring etc for 4500, Is that steep or a decent price?

    I have a KR that would need standalone EFI (microtech) and a 5 speed gearbox that I have been tossing up selling.

    I'd let it go for the right money, by negotiation. But it's not just as simple as you first think as you need to consider exhaust manifolds, fuel pump etc
