Why would anyone think of using a dealer?
Brake flush should be under $90.

I notice my service provider charges $19.20 + GST for the brake fluid but it’s hard to calculate the labour cost of changing it as the labour is included in the overall labour cost

For comparison - my Audi SQ5 is due for its 3rd service (just a minor service - basically an oil change and check over).

    Audi wanted $490.
I rang 2x euro specialists which i have used previously and both quoted just under $300. Car is with one of these workshops today (Newcastle VW Centre).

My mum recently purchased a Renault Clio and it had it's 1st service last week. She was charged $482 for an oil change and check over - absolutely insane. Needless to say, she will be taking it elsewhere next service.

Probably not much. The Volvo parts are one of the most expensive there, including oils.

Cabin Filter (for Air Quality Sensor) / Brake Fluid (Class 6 LV) / Oil (0W-20 Castrol Edge Professional) / Oil Filter and not much else...

One thing they did every service was take apart the shroud around the cameras (on the windscreen) and clean the lenses / windscreen. Very good idea! As my old B8 Passat had a build up of condensation / dust that was blocking the camera. It took a mighty fight with VW to get this cleaned...

The service / warranty experience with Volvo was very good though!
