    Usually the washers are set to clean the headlights whenever you clean the windscreen (I guess they assume that if you are cleaning your windscreen because it has dirt on it so does your headlights)
    The manual says every 5th time

    The ADR Rules state that washers and self leveling is mandatory for lights above a certain light output I think it 2000 lumens????

    So if your lights are below that they would be legal if not No they arent

    I also read they may only be installed in vehicles of which a model has HID as standard.

    So you couldnt legally put them in a Mk2 Cortina for instance as no Cortina ever had them.

    Xenon on 77TSI?

    Just as a follow up, the Subaru XV does have xenon lights in reflector housings BUT they also have auto leveling (as per the ADR) and headlight washers, again, as per the ADR.
