    Windscreen Wipers

    Hey all,

Can anyone recommend a particular model of windscreen wiper blade that is good for the Polo? I still have the OEM ones and they're not all that flash IMO.

    Cheers
    Michael

What do you mean "not flash"

The OEM wiper blades are some, if not the best I have ever seen on any car in my life. No sqeeking, skipping nor does it leave any residue, with a perfect wipe everytime without any amount of water volume or wind speed effecting it.

agreed... bosch aerotwins are pretty good.. not sure what size you would use.. I had BBA 450's on the 6n1, so probably something a little bigger on the 6R.

If you're in need of any 6n1 parts, odds are that I am going to have them (dismantling 2 at the moment)

What washer additive do you use?

You shouldn't use ANY additives. Volkswagen use special ammonia cubes which are placed at the bottom of the washer fluid reservoir. This gets renewed every service. The ammonia cubes clean the windscreen (really good i may add, especially against oil / road grime) whist also keeping the rubber wipers in good condition.

Interesting, so why do Berwick VW supply a 1L bottle of their washer fluid additive at every service?
