Wind Noise - Weather shields fix?

I find that when any one window is open there is an uncomfortable wind noise that rattles my eardrums. Anyone else found this? I'm wondering if weather shields will fix the problem by subtly reshaping the air. Any opinions or experience?

Try driving down wind, match the speed of the vehicle with the wind speed. That usually works, good luck!

Always did for me. I wouldn't be able to have window open on my T5 without the weather shields.

we have the VW OEM weather-shields.

It won't fix the problem. The weather-shields are the slimmest I have ever seen....almost useless....

    correct that. They are useless.

Thanks guys. Just the sort of experience I was after. I'll keep the windows up and the aircond on methinks....or match the air direction and speed.

I find this is worst if only one or both of the rear windows are open. Opening one or both the fronts stops it but the fronts need to be open enough to match the rears.
