    comfortline headlights/foglights question

just looking into ordering my 2010 polo 77tsi, and one thing I didn't like about it, coming from a car that comes standard with HID's is the yellow output.. sure it's better for visibility, but my eyes are fine, and I'm more a fan of the white output, especially in nice looking headlights like these.

can anyone tell me what are good non HID globes to get, and what types I'd need to buy for the comfortline dual headlights, parkers, and also the foggies/daytime driving lights that come with the sports pack?

been looking everywhere but being so new, there's not much on the net about them yet!

after some nice white/blue..maybe some halogen equivalent or as close to 6000k but good wattage so that there is still as best visibility I can get with white outputs.

    thanks for any help
    Brad

    hey brad,

    hows it going?

have you looked into the philips diamondvision/ bluevision range yet? i had them in my VR6, the difference they made in terms of whiteness, was pretty attractive.

    comfortline headlights/foglights question

I had a look on the net about the philips globes and heard they were really good.. but it's harder to tell with pics on the Internet rather than seeing them in person

I'll probably be sticking with them but I really need to know what bulb types fit in all the globe spots on the 2010 polo.. finding it hard to find info on such a new car.

I know the dual headlights are h7, well I'm not sure about both globe spots in the dual but I know one of the slots is..

does anyone here have one at home with them now with a sports pack on so they can go outside and let me know what bulb types are in the driving lights/fog lights aND dual headlights?

    any help much appreciated!

    thanks

Head down to your closest Autobarn (or equivalent) and see if they have the Philips demo box... Its just a small box with 6 or 7 different headlight bulbs in it, and you can press a button in front of each one to switch it on and compare the light difference... I'll definitely be putting some DiamondVision in my Polo when it arrives

Was it hard to install, also when you post the pictures could you post the details of your products (possibly photos of the boxes from which the lights came from so its easier to spot in the auto stores).

    Cheers mat

heres the photos i promised. and yes, its was a missive job considering it was just changing the light bulbs. had to remove the whole headlight unit, and its stuck in there pretty good.

    also these are the two bulbs i used;

note, these ones have to be mod' to fit the power socket
