    I'm running 235/45 R17s on the Golf at the minute, not one bit of scrubbing and gives a great fat stance. Will look at tyre sizess the first tyre change to up the width, 215 seems a tad narrow for the power being layed down at the front

    the boas are +46 so you should have plenty of clearance even with the slightly bigger tyre

    I remember putting 215s X 45 tyres on my C4 on a wheel that was 17X6.5, so I would imagine 225s or even 235s may fit the GTI wheels at 17X7? Would look pretty cool

    Hey Guys,
    Went onto the German VW web site and configured this little gem. Apparently, as far as I know, Germany and NZ can order the Detroits and a minimal extra cost....Damn them....Damn them all to hell;(

    In Germany it is 150 Euro and in New Zealand $400 NZD....pretty damn good pricing IMO

    $400 to get the exact same sized wheels and tyres but with a machined finished... sounds like a bargain
