I'm running 235/45 R17s on the Golf at the minute, not one bit of scrubbing and gives a great fat stance. Will look at tyre sizess the first tyre change to up the width, 215 seems a tad narrow for the power being layed down at the front :)

i think they are +45
I remember putting 215s X 45 tyres on my C4 on a wheel that was 17X6.5, so I would imagine 225s or even 235s may fit the GTI wheels at 17X7? Would look pretty cool:)
Yep, that's my plan after the stockies are torched:):)
Hey Guys,
Went onto the German VW web site and configured this little gem. Apparently, as far as I know, Germany and NZ can order the Detroits and a minimal extra cost....Damn them....Damn them all to hell;(

Looks great ^ how much for the option?
In Germany it is 150 Euro and in New Zealand $400 NZD....pretty damn good pricing IMO:)
$400 to get the exact same sized wheels and tyres but with a machined finished... sounds like a bargain ;)
Ahhhh.....Healthy Sarcasm, still would pay that for those wheels:)
