Why get the wrong size when you can get the right size?

Exactly, however there isn't much protection for the rim and it looks tight.

Anyways if the guy comes back saying oh they have decided 18x7.5 that would be logical as he said its up to the manufacturer to decide the size before production (they're working on workshop manuals and modelling) didn't know wheel manufacturers were so concerned about us!

if the rim is 8" wide 225 is the right size

Lol, not a fan of the stretched look then?

I'd prefer the wider rubber for the rim protection factor, so might run with 225 anyway, particularly since you've confirmed that there's no major issues with them.

Yeah when i saw that photo journal that one of the guys posted...the rim is sticking out more than the tread.

Anyways the middle man will let me know end of the week what the factory has decided as (viable for sales and safety) as its all number crunching on their side...funny how they didn't think that 80% of Polo owners would prefer OEM wheels over shiny chrome braaaazzz! lol
