Apparently one of the apprentices took it for a drive last time and didn't even know what he was looking out for so they assumed the car was running normally. This time the service manager took it for a drive when it was cold and he got it to stall and run like crap, and he said it was the injectors at fault (surprise, surprise...) so today we've dropped the car off for them to fix the boot light properly, replace all four injectors, fix the climatronic display and do a forced regen of the DPF (clogged from over-fuelling due to faulty injector(s) They are keeping the car for two days so they better do it properly this time!
Even when we were driving it to VW this morning it stalled coming up to a roundabout and someone almost rear-ended us!
OT: You can tell VW is **** scared now because of the recall – their customer service has improved almost freakishly since a fortnight ago.
Alex.
given their inability to fix the issue when raised, i wouldn't say your last comment was OT at all, and quite relevant given that you nearly got hit up the backside on the way to the dealership.
My Car(s): 2011 6R TSI Comfortline (Pepper Silver),
If you're in need of any 6n1 parts, odds are that I am going to have them (dismantling 2 at the moment)
