Look kinda like a coupe, with the big long doors and windows - which means it looks great, makes it WAY easier to get it to (for taller people anyway), easier to drive as the B pillar is never in the way and is a good excuse to never carry more than 2 people!

You still have a boot so your not loosing any room so its just as useful. I do see where you are coming from though. I have had times where my 5 door has made things real easy and you get more reusable value with a 5 door...but still my next car will be a 3 door

On the money nomadx, it mostly has to do with my height (195cm). The door on a 3dr polo will be about the same size as a sedan 5 series or higher.

But the lines are much cleaner with the 3dr than a 5dr. Have you seen the 3dr Golf 7 GTI and the 5dr? Same goes for the new S3.

Sorry to her about your car rearerr0r.

I dont know why 5dr fans can accept that people enjoy 3dr cars. I dont have kids and dont want to drag people round in my car. 3dr's look smoother and sleeker and have bigger doors, meaning its easier to see out of the side/mirror. Its a win win for me, I can count the times on one hand that anyone has been in the back of my 3dr Polo.

Next car... I just dont know... nothing floats my boat at the Polo's price point....

Expect pricing of Australia’s Turkish-built Clio to start lower than ever before at about $16,000 – between its most direct rivals in the Mazda2 (from $15,790) and VW Polo (from $16,990), while the new Clio RS could match the equivalent Polo GTI five-door at under $30,000.

Perhaps some Sydney folk will join me and possibly get a group warranty extension if we group buy an RS each haha!

So, no one going for the A45 AMG? At 80 grand, It is cheaper than I expected, but still too pricey for me. Mate of mine is getting one - I can't wait!

I test drove an A200 yesterday actually, visibility is surprisingly bad in them (the rear view mirror is tiny too) and the one I was in had dash rattles (but the octavia I drove earlier was solid as a rock). Other than that rear legroom and headroom was good, but you feel very cocooned at the same time.

I also sat in the new VF Commodore SS (no time for a drive) and it is a really nice place to be, but I'd probably still pick the new octy over that if I wanted to larger car.

Can't wait to test drive the Clio, it'll probably have the same visibility issues as the A-class but at least its fast and cheap .

All said and done I'll probably fall for the facelifted Polo >_<

The factory in both Spain / ZA (South Africa) still have build slots occupied by the tag "VWWGZ6R" til mid 2014...so I doubt there will be a facelift version in production til late 2014 / early 15.

Information courtesy of a friend who has access to order / build information
