If it ever comes to australia (highly doubt it) then I would consider it in a heartbeat. Looks great, (I assume) goes great, and three door only? Haha
I was set on a normal "R" but typical VW aus has ripped everything out and it really doesn't justify the 60k price tag
Set to get a new car anytime during the next financial year. With the currently available crop, thinking of fully optioned Audi S3 vs fully optioned Golf R.
Or if it is like either of the following 2 are available within the next financial year, I'll be looking at the BMW M2 vs TTRS.
Main drawback of the hatches are that they aren't doing 2-door versions for them here. Also the S3 is going to leave me with the upgrade itch if RS3 lands here.
What are the main differences between the S3 and the R? I've driven the R and I thought it was quite fun, however, both the interior and the exterior doesn't get the heart racing. The B-Pillar is also irritating the heck out of me.
Engine wise, literally nothing.
I believe the S3 comes with a few things stock that you would have top option for extra cost to get in the R.
From what i have been reading hte R is meant to be more sporty whereas the S3 is more of a go fast luxury feel but i think this is all placebo effect.
Sold the Polo, now to welcome the next adventure.
