That revving with that exhaust (in race mode or whatever it's called) sounds absolutely terrible! Sounds like the engine is falling apart...

The DSG fart on the other hand - hell yes, couldn't approve more!!! Sounds epic, nice and loud - just the way I like it.

Nothing says new tech like a DSG fart

That initial rev is actually RS mode when engaging launch control.

That's good I guess. At least you won't have to hear it when you normally rev it. It's the only downside of the exhaust - once he takes off it sounds great! Lots of tone and of course the DSG fart :p

I have but no offense to anyone in the trade but the Fiesta ST looks like a Hairdressers car.

Haha funny you mention that - the Ford Fiesta was just awarded "women's car of the year".

I didn't believe such a award existed until I read up about it. It makes sense though, the new facelift of the fiesta is very feminine.

Dun dun da the suspense is building!

    *Update*

Renault Clio RS Sport onr - $33k

Renault Clio RS Cup Chassis onr - $35/36k

But as standard on the cup:

    -Leather heated seats
    - RS Monitor 2.0
    - Black 18' wheels
    - Climate control
    - 15mm ride drop
    - Stiffer suspension
    - Stiffer steering arm
    - RS sound system

I'd go a cup as the wheels, leather, and RS monitor would be around the 4k mark.

There must be lots of insane persons i Germany, all the cars made for the german buyers are sold since a couple of weeks. Here in Sweden we got a total of 90 cars, and the price is great, EUR 26400. I feel very sane!

Driving home after Polofest, as is befitting a Polo, it started whinging for more oil. So, I filled her up, drove straight to VW at Sutherland, and test drove a used Passat CC MY12.5 that had 30,000km done. Was very nice, maybe a bit too refined for my tastes, but it's kick-started the real search for my new car. Once the Octavia comes out, I'll be test driving that baby ASAP. Hoping to offload the Polo by year's end/early 2014.

I know I've only had my Polo GTi for a few months but I still have a soft spot for the 86/BRZ. The dealership I work at has Subaru and walking past a blue BRZ everyday on my way to and from work makes me think did I make the right choice! Then I see the interior and know I did...
