    .
MK7 GTis are only coming as 5 door, and no performance pack DSG or no DSG not something to cheer about and to me it sounds like Australian consumers would rather compromise yet still pay for the premium that won't be offered / given to you.

I could never buy a new Merc A Class. Such a shame becuase they are one of the sexiest hatches around and the price/ performance is great.

What's the problem you ask? That screen that is blatantly stuck on in the centre console is beyond ugly! Compleatly ruins the interior. Why couldn't they have used a pop up design like the C class or a fixed one

I think the my13 models come with sat-nav and leather etc as well. I was going to go for a 208 Sport but the DS3 is really different so decided on that.
^ Good to hear mate. I remember reading about all of your issues with your Polo, and your decision to sell it and get something else. Good to hear the DS3 is going well. I am looking to get a new car for my fiance soon (get rid of her boring as bat ***** 2011 Mazda 3) and the little DS3 has caught my eye as a funky little ride with a good engine.

well I hope that's not the only reason you are not buying it! I agree that its ugly and I am too not in favor but there are plenty of other positives..Also I found that ugly screen is set at the right height and you don't have to look up or down and you can just easily glance it while driving it and never have to touch it..ergonomically I found it much easier to use than the touchscreen on the golf..but yes I agree it would have been nice if it was a pop up..

Richard Hammond on the RS Clio DSG:
"It has the excitement of a vicar sweeping up leaves.....the car is let down by that terrible gearbox..."

Ford fiesta, vs Clio vs 208 GTI, very clear winner is the ford, 208 in 2nd and the Clio burning its clutches at the back of the field. "...this car will be remembered as a classic like the rs2000 or lotus cortina, it's that good..."

Guess it coincides with what I have always said. Dry clutch DSG's just don't work. Especially in hi-ish performance cars, c'mon if a 1.2t polo fries clutches I think its flawed - It's wet or nothing!

New Renault Clio RS from under $29K - motoring.com.au

Talk of the Cup being a $35K affair! I doubt it'd be 5K more for some stiffer suspension etc.
