Personally I'd go for the 225/40/17 it is a more appropriate tyre for a 7.5" wide wheel.

The actual width of tyres varies between brands (eg; a 225 can be 220 mm wide or 230 mm wide), but in general 215 and 225 are considered the ideal size on 7.5" wheels, with 205 considered the minimum and 235 the maximum.Quote:
