    What w5w bulb?

Can anyone recommend a good bulb? I just bought some philips xtreme vision H7 and now need some new parkers.
Not sure about getting blueish ones as not sure how it would mix with the white H7's

I would suggest Philips w5w (T10) 6000k LED Parkers. I have been using them for a long time (interior lights and parking lights before I retrofitted the OEM Xenons) They are 1 watt LEDS and one if not the brightest you can get on the market. Unfortunately you have to pay for the privilege.

About 40$ for a pair but are just as bright as the OEM LED DRL and the quality is top notch for those that like to pay that bit extra for quality. If you want to settle for second best just look on eBay, plenty of led parkers from china.

The colour 6000k is a bright crisp white but either way you look at it you will never match the Philips H7 as they are 3700k. Even OEM LED DRL are 6000k LEDs and the xenon bulb 4300k but the optical effect of the projector makes the xenon bulb look the same colour as the LED DRL from a distance, with a blue tint on the bottom.

Yup there the ones. But look on Carbulbsdirect (just google it) they are by far the cheapest and they have the new version relesed a few months ago. it has a brushed aluminium case and white top. the new model is slightly brighter and has a better viewing angle, and cheaper.

A pair of Philips BlueVision Ultra W5W bulbs will do nicely. At 3400 K, they are a closer match to the X-tremeVision H7 bulbs. Should be about $12 on eBay, shipped from the UK.

On a practical level, I don't see the value in spending $50 on side lights.

I would go for the ones from car bulbs direct but its your call at the end of the day. I also "had" a pair of Philips blue vision w5w and threw them out straight away. For the money they are just standard parkers with a light blue coating. the result still yellow light but slightly less brightness due to the coating. And looking at them directly is less than pretty.

This is my experience anyway on bulbs I got back halfway through 2011, so they may have improved since them.

And for 50$ it is a far better quality bulb that will last forever. (Or 100,000 hours, a LEDs life span) and its up to 10x brighter so its more than just a little brighter, more like blinding!

    But it's all about choice.
