What intercooler for GTI?

Whoops....i just realised myself and MountainbikeMike have been talking about intercoolers for the Golf 5/6 and Skoda Octy in a Polo thread. Sorry chaps.

Hah, yeah I was thinking about mentioning that . Is the 1.4TSI in the Golf 5/6 even compatible with it? I thought it was fairly different from the 2.0 GTI's cooler?

The intercooler used on the 1.4TSI in the Golf appears to be exactly the same as the one used in the GTI and R. If not, then it is very similar in terms of looks/size etc.
