Link for BOV in case anyone is wondering. Easy to install. Took about 10 minutes in the car park out the front of work.

    Forge Motorsport | Alloy Fabrication

Cost around $340 inc gst AUS landed.

Took 4 working days to arrived.

As for the headlights, I'll give it crack. People say left hand drive this, right hand drive that.
I'm happy to take a chance. Should be here earlier next week so pictures and how-to guide if I can.

    Cheers

I can think of much better things to spend $340 on

I went with this kit because it is bolt on/bolt off. Doesn't require any breaking, cutting or drilling. Completely "plug n play"

Today is me and my cars birthday so I thought I would spice it up by putting some more bling on.

    •Front lip added
    •Side skirts added
    •Rear dumped with H&R 55mm springs
    •3000k foglights added
•Philips intense red LED brake lights fitted
•moved around the rear badges around preparing for my german euro badge to arrive.

    Now onto the Brake lights

These are the Philips Red intense LED brake lights that were brought to my attention a couple months back. finally got around to ordering them. initial verdict - BRIGHT, very bright and very fast to respond, side by side I was shocked at how slow the old incandescent bulbs are to light up (almost a second longer!)

    [IMG][/IMG]

ok so installing them is straight forward. they fit in the holder, end of. things to note though...they will through up an error (note the bulb icon on the dash) . I have had great luck with my previous Phillips bulbs but guess my luck ran out with these ones.

    [IMG][/IMG]

Now I have known from the start that you could get rid on that error with VCDS so I wasn't too concerned. under Cent. Electrics just enable the circled bit and the light will go off and faults removed. (I know I have ticked to "enable diagnostics" but it actually disables that, I have noticed this inconsistency of labelling throughout VCDS)

    [IMG][/IMG]

    and presto error removed!

    [IMG][/IMG]

there I thought I was all done and dusted when unfortunately the really bad news hit me. and that is these bulbs suffer the same issues as fast lane had - at night time you can see they stay lit ever so slightly, pulsating. now even though I have disabled the diagnostics, the BCM apparently still puts a pulse through it which means load resistors are a MUST! damn it, I will try putting some diodes there but I don't think it will work.

shame really because they are fast and bright! (the left one is the LED)

going to try experiment some more to get it right. any questions, just let me know!

Also some time ago someone asked about deactivating the parkers when the ignition key was removed because they found it inconvenient that they had to switch it off. took me long enough but I got the screen cap.

All you have to do is disable the circled bit and you wont be able to use the parking lights without the ignition been on (in other words regardless of switch position, without a key nothing will turn on.

If your wondering its contained within the Cent. Electrics module under long coding.

Nomad, I have a different brand of led brake globes but I used the narva load resisters straight of the bat and no error, no flickring or dull light when off. There either on or off. I would give them a shot. Philips do there own now.
