What have you done with your Polo so far (and today)?

Well I've loved driving it, took good care of it, and today...today I drove to Campbelltown and sold my Polo, and proceeded to buy my new Candy White Golf GTi. It was a private sale to a dad buying his daughter her first car. I feel sad parting with my best VW ever, but also happy I think the daughter is getting a great car.

Everyone on this forum has been great. From hints and tips, to inspirational mods and photos. I'll keep checking in, and hope to add to the Golf threads in time.

Have a great Easter weekend everyone

So after months and months I have finally retro fitted myself some OEM Xenon headlights, these are Halogen inside but the rest remains OEM.

Installing them took about and hour or so with the help from nomadx38 (kudos) and now the car looks awesome.

2 issues I have found 1 being a pain when turning the power steering tends to drain the power so the DRLs flicker and it's quite annoying I have only tested this in my car park so I will test out on the road and if it's ok it probably wont bother me. The other issue is that the lights look to be RHD but they say LHD on the lights them selves. Have a look at the pics i attached.

I'm not to bothered honestly and if I get used to it I'll be fine... I wonder if there is a fuse missing the DRL's normally have can anyone confirm?

I'm a newb so I could be entirely wrong.

I've also noticed that the (standard) headlights on my sister's polo dim a bit when the steering s turned.

They are LHD lights. If they were RHD they would kick up on the LHS. As it stands, you'll be blinding oncoming drivers so it's not really a matter of you getting used to it but your affect on other road users.

Skoda Octavias have an adjustable plate in their lights so that when you go from the UK to Europe, you can flatten the beam. Would your lights have something like that?
