Changed the XDS from Normal to Strong

    (Flagrantly copied from UKPolos)
In VCDS Select Control Module, go to 03 ABS Brakes, then 10 Adaptation, go to Channel:
    Channel 36 XDS
    There are 3 settings
    0-center (stock setting)
    1-weak
    2-strong

But the biggest change was changing the Steering Assist from GTI/Fabia RS (Program 41) to the Seat Ibiza (Program 21). Its that bit heaver, especially at slower speeds. Changed the car dramatically. You can also change it to the Audi A1 (Program 51) for a more city feel.
    Edit: Now program 20

    (Copied from here)
    STG 44 Steering Assistance
    STG Codierung -> Channel 07

Is there are a run down of what VCDS changes do? Well they alter my driving experience?

As you mentioned readerr0r with changing the steering assist is it a physical change to the steering, does it make it harder or something. I'm completely new to this and am willing to have a play around just don't know exactly what the VCDS is?

Thanks for reminding me gavs, I've popped my tricks there so they'll be easier to find.

Bassik, VCDS lets you talk to the electronics in the car, it connects to the diagnostic port via a usb dongle. Theres a bunch of different modules each with a variety of settings that you can change. Most are them are documented in the program, making it easy to tweak settings to what you like, stick with those (and tutorials for specific things) first. Like gavs mentioned there is a VCDS section of vwwatercooled, check it out.

As for the Steering Assist, its a software change that results in a physical change in the feeling of the steering wheel.

Hmmm interesting... I two think the steering is way to light and would love to toughen it up a tad. Or at least I'd like to play around with the different programs.

Yeah the biggest change is at slower "parking" speeds. The way the GTI goes super light throws me off a bit, the Audi A1 program was even lighter. I chose the SEAT Ibiza one because SEAT is VW's "Youthful Sporty" brand, hence it'd have more weight.

Edit: I'm now running Program 20 (9N GTI) which has a bang on old school feel.

Made an appointment to get this next week

Pioneer TS-WX77A Subwoofer It's flat enough to fit in the double-boot area so literally no loss of storage space!
I have seen it in action real life and it really packs a nice punch for only 2x100W and its size
