Hi Gavs
What sort of pads did you get ?
A brand called Remsa, not quite as aggressive as a track pad but quite a bit better than stock.
Stage 2+ Intercooler Carbon Intake Downpipe Swaybar DV+ Remsa.
took off my rear sway bar to investigate my rattle/creak noise and it is still present unfortunately. so definately something with the suspension going to take another look tommorow. But i did get the chance to drive again without a sway bar and can definately feel the difference without one now. Turning reallly quickly from left to right on a straight road the car swings like crazy and cant keep up but before with the bar on it could keep up and didnt roll as much
When the bar was installed, if the car was raised with the shocks disconnected, it's possible that you spring might have come unseated a wee bit, the creaking could be the big bushing on top of the spring rubbing if it's not seated correctly....
Yeah, in a not-as-stiff car, the effects are way more pronounced, in the GTI, I've disconnected it and below corner speeds below 50kph, you can't really notice the difference after turn-in.... But how often do i take a corner below 50kph which isn't a hairpin....

yeah sure hope thats why going to take a look at it in a few days quite busy lately. it wouldnt be harmful to continue driving yea?
EDIT: ok it seems i just didnt have the bolts tightened up enough ahaha. all is good now

I had a little poke around the engine bay to see if there was anything causing a diesel-like rattle at idle. It turns out that there was something in there that was making thousands of tiny explosions which was the cause of the rattle
just installed a set of osram nightbreaker plus bulbs. nice and white
@Hail2- I don't know what it's called, but it's this big lump of metal that sucks in fuel and air and makes it go bang. In other words yes, I am being a silly bugger. To me the engine sounded like it was clattering a bit like a diesel, so I wondered if there was any exposed pipes or bits of plastic in contact with the engine, it turns out that it's just the noise of the tappets or something - nothing to worry about.
Cleaned my car. Changed the oil and installed a Whiteline Rear Swaybar.
Overall a good day.
Next week hopefully a tune and new wheels/springs.
