I drove my car! Still getting used to the difference to my previous car (gone from 2.0L NA to 1.2L T both in similar weight cars). The weather was very wet and cold, but the 77TSI Sport felt good on the road. It's nice to drive. The gear box (manual) is nice to shift. Feels not dissimilar to an MX5 I used to own.

Fitted my "GTI Joe" replacement rear license plate lights. Joe put me on to these and they really make a nice difference.

    Thanks Joe!!!!

303'd the interior plastics, actually cleaned the inside of the windows which the "detailer" who scratched the paint on my car forgot to do which finally removed the suction cup marks, also recieved my nice new DA6 polisher (Thanks Mike and Pierre!) so I can fix said paint..... Still get so livid about that.....

I drove my car into work today. I usually either catch public transport or go in with my partner but because I have a new toy, I want to drive her as much as I can.

The hill start assist is freaking me out. With my previous car, I was used to just the tiniest bit of roll-back but the Polo stays absolutely stationary and it's taking a while to get used to. It just feels odd, but in a very good way

Haha sounds pricey, what was the breakdown of required parts?

Grab some of that stoniers glass cleaner from CCP, good stuff.

And this is from another forum but it's what someone with a 3dr GTI needs to do today

i know it's nasty, but I have almost a full bottle, Meg's interior window cleaner because a) It smells nice and b) it's safe for tinted windows, which I had on the golf and plan on getting on the polo. I generally just use filtered water but the screens were so filty, it needed the extra punch. All finished with a polish from my microfibre window cloth

It's alright man, I've been using the Megs products for years too. Most I've since retired, but I'm still using the Megs glass cleaner. Hell, I know several BIG IT companies that use it to clean their monitors and LCDs, even on laptops, because it cleans well, is safe, and relatively cheap.

The reason I asked though, is whilst it seems to get rid of the suction cap marks, I still see them in some sunlight conditions. So I've been meaning to try out the Stoner's Invisible Glass as I see dave_r has mentiond above.

Btw, dave_r, that is one of the nicest Polo's I've seen thus far, despite it not being a "real colour". The headlights, wheels, lowering, skirts, and the fact that it's a 3 door all work well together to make it look great.

Yeah, I must say that it is far better then generic household window cleaners and it doesn't stink like cat's wee either like certain ammonia based products
