One thing I discovered a few weeks ago.

When the car is turned off and you turn on the indicators (left or right) the park lights will turn on! So you can park your car next to the road, turn on the indicator and people will be able to see your car and not crash in to it

If you haven't picked it up already, do yourself a favour and get the glass sealant too.

I went for a drive last night and it was absolutely chucking it down (seriously torrential)...everyone else with wipers going full pelt and I didn't even need them on.

LOL sounds the same for me re the wife. I got the following

    - Nanolex paint sealant kit
    - Nanolex glass sealant kit
    - Mint clay bar kit
    - 303 aerospace spray for the internal hard surfaces, and the fabric protector
    - Nanolex car-wash detergent

Re my car, yeah looks like it will most likely be delivery weekend after this one - another week won't kill me

Speaking of detailing, what do people use to prevent the leather steering wheel from going all shiny over time... or to restore it back to it's original matte finish?

Best use a specific leather conditioner and protectant, unfortunately you won't be able to stop the surface going shiny, the oils in your hands and constant rubbing burnish the surface but if you want to delay it, look at this sort of stuff:

Car Care Products / Duragloss / Interior / Leather & Vinyl / Professional Leather System
Car Care Products / Zaino / Interior / Leather & Vinyl / Professional Leather System
Car Care Products / Swissvax / Interior / Leather & Vinyl / Leather Care Kit

Stage 2+ Intercooler Carbon Intake Downpipe Swaybar DV+ Remsa.
