You should take it down to the drags and see what it runs!

Will be keen to follow oem+ progress, but for the moment, APR tune goes really well

haha might be the go at some point in the near future...mind you, launching the thing is a bit of a handful, trying to get an okay take off without too much wheel spin or bogging the car down is interesting!

I fitted a Ford Focus ST air filter together with the E-Tuners heatshield.

I covered the bottom and the left side of the heatshield with aluminium foil tape.

I am interested in fitting a gas strut to my Gti as well. What size and where do you get it? Also, any special methods in fitting it?

Which LED bulbs did you use for the fogs? I got that kit the other day and did the install which was awesome only to find that the trunk was a wedge instead of the cylindrical one lol

I ended up going with these bulbs, which I can't seem to find from that same ebay seller anymore.

They give off a very similar light pattern to the standard h8 bulbs (unlike cree bulbs), while being much brighter, they also match the LED headlights/DRL's tempreature and don't throw any errors. These just swapped straight in and worked perfectly and are still working spot on.

Here are some more pics of the setup.

Had a Milltek downpipe fitted today to compliment my already fitted Milltek cat back (resonated). Worthwhile increase in power and with the Burger Motorsports JB1 'tune' with a George Smooth 'map 6' profile the car is officially insane. Yes it's a DSG, my second DSG VW, love it and I have 100% confidence in it handling the extra power because I am the only one that drives the car.

The old downpipe has some heat shielding at top and I intend to wrap the top of the Milltek downpipe and install some shielding to deflect the heat downwards from the engine bay.

Used a 42DD spacer, no fault codes and confident will never get any. Thank you 'Primordial'.
