Like the nice clean look of the car, particularly the rear. Love those wheels!

Did the test fit yesterday and the rim easily clears the coilover strut but it's nesting against that plastic guard. If I remove that it will be fine otherwise I'd need to run a spacer which I'd rather not.
yeah, ive had the rear plastic out. just a few screws to hold it in and its split behind the strut so no need to undo the suspension at all. will expose a few plastic pipes for the fuel tank but i never experienced any problems with it.

the other option is to borrow (/buy/rent) a Dremmel tool and cut away any small sections that may be touching. (but then youd need to think about if you wanted to buy plastics if ever you wanted to sell up)

personally though, take em out. its quick and easy and as said before, i never had any problems... (was running 18x7.5et28 with 215/35 at max lows {no adjusters or rubber cups and bumpstops cut in half})

Sounds easy enough then...I didn't even notice it was split behind the strut so I'm glad that is case.

Fronts ended up being a bigger problem than the rears and won't fit without a spacer. I'm reordering new fronts.

Anyone want to buy a Reflex Silver GTI Polo in Aug/Sept? Should have 75,000kms on it.

Seems as though people are bailing out of the Polo in their droves. It's such a shame... When it works, its such an awesome car. But there's just too much that can go wrong.

Thats where I'm at. Just don't trust it anymore. Took a mk7 gti out the other day and i actually prefer the polo...but I'm still getting rid of it.
